DoD Virtualization: Creating visibility for the next-generation network
Featuring Thomas Sasala, Chief Technology Officer
U.S. Army Information Technology Agency (ITA).
Let us help you sort through the buzz, hype and real productivity and opportunity that surrounds IT virtualization in DoD and government.
This webcast examines the real challenges and key lessons learned in establishing a virtual desktop environment within the DoD. Mr. Sasala and ITA has virtualized the Joint Staff and much of the Pentagon and is the DoD lead for IT virtualization; currently in the process of virtualizing 20,000 Army seats.
Virtualization creates a shared working environment with a single, scalable IT architecture, offering both simplicity as well as increased security, creating an environment in which agencies and analysts can collaborate in real time.
Other potential benefits that will be discussed are decreasing enterprise costs; leveraging proven commercial technologies; easier training; enhanced reporting and historical analysis; detection of insider threats, and open-source and social network intelligence collections.
